well wheres the update?!?
I'm getting what I think is a lean condition with throttle pinned, where it feels like someone pumps the back brakes. It starts at about 62 mph, and if I dal back the throttle a little bit it seems to stop. If its really hot and dry here in Colorado, it doesn't really do it (like 95 degrees), which suggests the lean thing. This is on a 95 helix, btw.
I got a rebuild kit form wincycles that had the gaskets and all.. the slow jet was the same but one of the others I think was smaller so that may be my issue, so that's why I'm thinking of trying the 115 jet.
after replacing...sigh.. the auto bystarter, plug, boot, hoses and clamps, fuel pump, ignition coil, and CDI (which was what was ACTUALLY the problem in the first place), I basically have a new engine lol.
But the jerking crap at 62 is lame so I gotta try n fix. it will still usually get up to 70 on highway, and sometimes the jerking will stop but usually not, which of course feels pretty weird. if I didn't ride highway I'd never even notice.. bike runs great otherwise.
love this forum. its helped me immensely.
