fogging oil

Postby Richard » Fri Dec 27, 2019 11:09 am

I have used fogging oil for winter storage. Drilled a small hole in the intake plastic in order to insert the fogging oil straw then cover the hole with electrical tape. Do you think the fogging oil will cause high compression possible blowing the head gasket?

Never heard of fogging oil so I did a google search. From what I read, fogging oil protects the metal cylinder of the engine. It is safe for all gasoline engines that are not fuel injected. There is no mention of fogging oil having any effect on compression. When you start your scoot in the spring, you may get lots of smoke. That is to be expected.
