I tried to add my small fuelly banners BBC code (125x50 pixels) but the 30 character limit prevents me from doing so.
We have so many threads about fuel economy it'd be nice to display.
I'll try to display it here...

The number of characters has been intentionally set at a small number to try to prevent people from having images in their signature. I do this to make the board more friendly for members using dialup.
Yours is nice and small, but some people don't know how to exercise restraint, unfortunately. I have been to boards where almost every member has an enormous banner (or two...) in their signature, and that is basically what I'm trying to prevent.
I do allow avatars on the board because I can limit the size of them. I notice that you don't have one. Perhaps you could use your fuelly image as an icon?

The fuelly image is 125x50 so it's too wide to use as an avatar. _________________ Red 87 and black 2001 Heli |

I agree this is too short for a signature!
I wanted to list my scooter, but it is too short. thats why i just started tagging the ends of my post. I realize that it is a bit big but it could not be read if it was smaller. I really don't think we should be limited to what we post. You mentioned to others about resizing their pictures when they post and everyone followed suit pretty well.
I think the signatures could be regulated the same. We are all adults. You say"keep them small" they would be small. How small is small? _________________ Scooter Designer/Mechanic |

Alarmnbob,
The signature is limited the way it is for a reason. I have stated that reason, and it is not going to change.
You say "We are all adults," but you are the only member that I have ever had to ask to stop doing things over and over again. This began the very first day you posted here. I appreciate the knowledge that you bring to this forum, but there is a limit to my patience.
Stop trying to get around the rules. Stop posting unnecessary images. Stop adding nonsensical text to your posts about Spock. I have removed the text and images regarding paper vs. scissors from your posts, and will continue to do so.
Also, a link to another website in a post is enough. You don't need to add a banner for the company. The banner is an unnecessary waste of bandwidth, and contributes nothing to the forum.
Your banner is much larger than I allow. Make it 80X80 or smaller, or it will be removed.

Yea, Patrick!
I don't think most users, even those with technical training, understand the problems inherent in operating an Internet Presence Package like this one.
I support Patrick 100% and have a friendly suggestion for those who don't like the way he runs his Board - - start your own! Then you can do, or allow, anything you want and discover the unexpected consequences.
Now - let's get back to gabbing about Helices! _________________ Byeway Bill
