Helix Won't Idle

Postby Willyj8749 » Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:37 pm

Okay. After many happy rides I was riding straight and level when I lost all power. Just cut off dead. After finally getting my wife on the phone to bring the truck and fetch us I just tried the starter again and it cranked. So I headed back up the road to meet the truck, driving on the shoulder. But when I stopped to put on my helmet she died and wouldn't restart.
Met the wife, loaded up ( with the help of a very nice volunteer fireman by the way ) and trucked on home. So, at home I find that she will now crank and run but dies at idle.
Any ideas? I recently switched from 93 octane to regular and I'm suspicious of fuel.

Low octane fuel should be fine. If you're suspicious that you last filled at an old station that rarely gets business, and there might be water in the fuel, that's different.

How many miles on your scooter since...

1. Carburetor rebuild?
2. Gas filter replaced?
3. Air filter replaced?
4. Electric choke replaced?
